How is this bass line done?

i know guys its horrible quite frankly, iv gathered its some arp sound going down a chord but the exact sound design of the synth im curious to know. it was done on the ES2 in Logic

I thought it was very Sigue Sigue Sputnik at the start...which was good enough reason to not subject myself to more torture. Sorry Paul, can't help you with the bass on this one!! Life is too short!

Distorted saw wave+square wave an octave down maybe - 3 falling notes keys + occasional 4th low note (programmed, probably not an arp) and very heavily kicked pumped, and EQd a little to take the mid out. The hardest bit will be getting the compressor to respond right. Stsick your synth in mono mode and with a bit of release, maybe a little porto.

If using live's compressor, then need the threshold down below the lowest point of travel on the input meter. Ratio about 6-10 or so, release about 30-50, and knee around 4-6db.

Quite easy to repro

And I can hear a slight pan from right to left as the notes drop too.
