well i created some digital hats using just some noise and they came out really well i think so im posting a pic of the settings i used on one of logics synths the ESP,

try it out

Automating the Attack and Decay can make for a nice groove.

Easy instant James Holden sound when you have the Decay up higher and slowly increase the Attack over a few bars.
