it turns out its not right all the time but excellent to get you in the ball park by +/-1

The software looks pretty slick I must say but yeah I think it is PC only...but you could use BootCamp and run loads of PC software or at least a tight collection of music related stuff you cannot get on a MAC..no?

no not my main priority to ever run bootcamp to be honest, will just have to do with out

i must admit however, i find it odd that they do not have a mac version seeing as they develop apps for the iPhone, oh well

Does logic not have any form of beat counter?

there's one in Cubase, you basically tap out the BPM on the mouse or spacebar for a few bars and it will give you a figure!
not always perfect but near enough to tweak perfect.

yeah logic has one, but for accapella's i think any bpm counter is going to be way off, dont they work off transients. e.g 4x4 kick

the one built in Cubase isn't an automatic counter, you have to actually tap the beat out in real time while playing whatever you want to calculate, and it will give you the BPM

yeah i too have tried those self input calculators, have an app on my iphone, i feel they are a little random at times but yes you often get a ball park figure
