I want to know how to make the "sand" sound that starts at 0.44 in Reason 4. Can anyone tell me how?

That's just a white noise generator routed through a low pass filter eq. When the freq is raised, more of the noise is allowed through.

Malstrom has a patch for generating noise. You could then automate its filters to do a similar effect.

So long since I used reason I cant remember how clean its noise generators are.

Im sure thor probably has a decent generator in it. Now that I have listened to it - it was probably just a standard sweep/uplift sample from a library.

To make it - sweep two filters quite broadly spaced, LP with a bit of resonance - with reason synth filters, maybe 1/4 reso. the other will be an HP filter with no resonance. Dont start sweeping the HP filter up from zero until the LP cutoff is past 600Hz or so (ie a bit past the mid point).
