Default Reason Tips and Tricks thread

REASON

One import trick on reason for the eletronic music producers who are trying to go vintage is to make the good ol' space echo.
It's fairly easy to make the space echo as you only create feedback using the mixer aux inputed into a channel and then process it.
Here's an ilustrative video on how to recreate the space echo:

YouTube - Reason Tutorial : Signal Feedback Looping and Space Echo

Another thing that can be achieved on reason is the wah wah effect as it is basicly a band-pass filter with a high resonance.

Here's another ilustrative video:

YouTube - Reason Tutorial - Wah-wah pedal effect

The most important tip of all is pressing the TAB button to open up the connections view. This is your best friend on reason because it opens a whole lot of possibilities if you know what you are doing.

Feel free to add to this thread I'll add more to this post as i remember/find more things

I got a new one:
To make a hardcore drum sound, open up a redrum or a dr.rex and then create a compressor atatched to the redrum/dr rex. Afterwards just set the treshold to minimum so that the compressor will act on all the audio instead of just peaks, then ajust the ratio to 1:infinite and the atack anbd release to the minimum and voila, you got a hardcore drum sound. NOTE: the snares might not sound good sometimes.

A nice thread but...

I think it's far behind what the youtube community have been putting out for a long time - there's wealth of information on there - I've been checking it out over the past few months.

My personal favourite

This never really got off the ground! Why not enlighten us with more info.
BTW you know you can embed the YT videos directly by using the icon above and pasting the code in the YT address after the = sign.
