Hi all
please have a look at my channel on youtube and let me know what you think (good or bad). working on my own stuff at the moment, but i put these remixes together to get to grips with reason 4. they were all created from scratch trying to remember the tunes in my head . think people will like the paul hardcastle ones the best. please leave feedback.cheers. ![]() heres the link to my channel. Nice work on the Rain Forest remake (I used to play the original as a young DJ). The only real criticism I can make is that most of the synths (top line and pads) seem a little buried in the mix. Try listening to the mix on speakers, but stand outside the room from a distance..the mids and melodies should be clearly heard in relative balance with drums, bass and percussion. You got the synth stab that appears around 1'35" solid and working well in the mids, perhaps look at the other synths juxtaposed to this?
Considering you programmed the melodies from memory in your head, pretty awesome recall dude! |

Thanks, reason can be a little tricky to learn at first but stick with it and look on youtube for tutorials. you will soon be knocking out quality tunes. ![]() |

I have worked a lot with Reason - it's the first DAW I learned to use. The only problem I found with it is the quality of some of the sounds - perhaps that's less true with Reason 4 (I have Reason 3). The mixes themselves are really good, but a little let down by the quality of the bass and drum sounds. Have you thought of using ReWire to link Reason in to other software. I now link Reason in to Pro Tools, so that I can use a mixture of Reason Sounds, Digidesign sounds and also other software such as Arturia's Analogue Factory. Please let me know what you think of my mixes in return! Thanks Tangerine Trees Music www.mspace.com/tangerinetreesmusic ![]() |
