Default Creating an (unsupported) quick key on mac

I know this works in ProTools and assume it also works in logic (try it and report your findings here)

Every now and then I come across something that I want to do regularly but either there is no quick key for it or the combination is so difficult that I just can't remember it. Have you had the problem?

Here's how to get around it:

1. Leave your PT (logic?) session open
2. go to apple system prefs
3. Select the 'keyboard and mouse' icon
4. select the '+' icon at the bottom left of the window
5. add protools by selecting 'other' and find PT(logic) in the application folder
6. Type the command exactly as shown in the menu
7. close and then re-open the session
8. start using your (unsupported) quick key

No mate. You can make up any key combination you want and assign it to the command of your choice.

ah ok, yes im unfamiliar with pro tools but logic has an excellent function for this, but referring to what T3 said in another post your advice sounds great as a work around.

nice 1

EDIT: btw what OS is your guide for? it appears slightly differently in 10.5.6
