Hi,
I want to start using Pro Tools. I have no Pro-Tools LE/HD software. If I purchase Pro Tools LE or HD 8 Upgrade will it work for me from scract as a standalone application, or does it only work if your computer already has an earlier version of Pro-Tools installed on it? Thanks in advance. |

Ok thanks,
The thing is I actually do have an old version of pro tools 7LE from the purchase of an Mbox a few years ago. I never installed it on my computer as I only ever used cubase before. The disc is no longer compatible with my current OSX but it came with a dongle and the Mbox is in constant use. Do you think an LE 8 upgrade box would work with this? |

With LE the iLok is only required for optional plug-ins, etc - Pro Tools LE itself only needs the Mbox connected to run.
