Default Need Help With Pro Tools v7.3

Hi all, Let me start by saying this is my first day here. I just bought an M-Audio mobilepre-usb. I had been looking at them for quite some time and found one on craigslist in my area brand new for $35.00. It came with everything and had never been used. It also came with what it says is Pro Tools v7.3 Demo. But there is no talk of a dongle being in the box. My question is, will this demo work without one or is it something I must have? And it being the demo, is there certain things that it doesn't have that the non-demo version has? Thanks guys. Like I said, I'm new here and trying to learn. I had been just running my amp straight through my sound card but thought I'd get a better sound with the M-Audio. Again, Thanks.

Ok, figured some out on my own. The Demo that came with the M-Audio unit is basically useless. You can't save or export or do anything with what is recorded so basically anything you do is lost when the program closes. I'm sure the full program is great but the demo is simply a "demo", Don't know why I expected more but oh well. That's the way the cookie bounces...

Yep. Digi/PT are known for the worst demo version out there... Sorry you found out the hard way.

The M Powered version is a bit of a con really. Sure, buying just the hardware means that you are free to go straight onto whichever daw you want (and generally, Digi hardware is more fiddlesome when dealing with non Digi software). But when you look at purchasing M-Powered Protools, it can often work out to being more expensive then getting Protools Le with an Mbox..
