I presume he means to fix it on the interface so it isn't floating.

on a mac and PC it is different but the transport is fixed to the arrange and a floating version too but no the idea of the floating transport is so it is positionable, if you want it docked then just place it where best suited and leave it???

similar not quite as i have a mac and its visually a different set up to PC's with Pro Tools but if RSNUK means having the transport in the edging frame/border of Pro Tools like most DAS then the answer is no

I read that in version 6 they introduced that capabilitiy and in the manual there is a picture of the transport being docked/fixed into the upper panel.

in v.8 the transport is in the arrange and you have floating, just right click the arrange transport and expand to desired view

By arrange, i am assuming you mean what i call "top bar", the transport was not visible in the top bar until i pressed the little arrow in the right and selected it from a list.

Now i can see both the floating transport and the tranport in the top/arrangement bar.

Thanks!
