Hi iv routed all my drums to an aux track.
processed them and am happy with them, they are now playing out of sync to the rest of the track as expected as i dont have mellowmuse i wanted to route my aux channel to an audio track and record it to a single stereo, how? i tried a couple of things but cant get it, like routed aux1 to bus 3-4 created a stereo audio and had input as bus 3-4 and output 1-2 no go ![]() im hoping T3 or Trev may have the answer ![]() cheers ______________________________

No reason what that shouldn't work - you can bus audio from an aux to an audio channel. Check everything again, maybe you're using a bus that's already in use or maybe you accidentally confused input with output (which I've done on occasion when I've been sleepy).

If it's changed somehow (can't understand why they'd alter that, it's a basic console operation really) then I can't help you yet, haven't gotten that far with PT8. If I get a chance later I'll give it a try.

Instead of trying to do that...Create another aux track and send everything that is not already being processed to it. Add a time adjuster plugin and set it to the same latency as your drum bus is showing (find the latency for all channels by hitting alt apple and clicking on the window at the bottom of the channel strip in the mix window). (I explain all this in more detail in the awesome drums sticky under parallel processing). Voila.

thanks guys, the track wasn't playing when i had the track armed but i thought il hit record anyway and the signal started coming through so i cant remember having to do that in the past but i dont use PT often.
nice idea Trev i will be sure to start using that from now on, do you do this or just use ADC, but then HD has native ADC correct ______________________________

It only takes a couple of uad plugs to exceed the adc limit in hd so if I need a lot of itb processing I use this technique

the aux record worked out although didnt solve the issue, i ended up doing the extra aux trick, nice valuable trick that. the culprit was the massey plus ______________________________

can i presume any delay incurred putting extra processes on a track in the additional aux group i simply minus that amount to the over all figure on the 2nd aux track correct
