i used to use it every day and really loved it and thinking back id wished id kept the jen sx1000 now ![]() |

I actually built my first mixer.. based upon the Maplin 4 channel line mixer kits... extended it to give me 8 channels with level and pan... very basic.
After that I finally bought a nasty 16:2 dinosaur... can't remember the brand though. Best "junk yard" mixer I had was a RAM Micro 10... I hacked 2 of them together (DIY cascading!) and made it a 20:4:8:2 mixer: ![]() Edit: I now seem to recall the unknown mixer was in fact an "M&M" 16:2 mixer. ______________________________

Tascam Porta 03 MKII four track Ministudio cassette recorder.
Noisy inputs. Crosstalk between the tracks. I had some fun with it but there's only so much you can do with a device like that even if it is working perfectly. |

Boss BX600 - early 90's, simple colorful little mixer, was good enough to learn the basics on.

Probably a Radio Shack four channel line mixer. I think I bought it before I even knew the difference between mic & line level, and thought it would also function as a preamp. As it probably cost about fourteen Canadian dollars, it wasn't the greatest loss when I just couldn't get it to work right.
![]() Since then I've been mixer-free, as I mix mainly ITB, I do use a control surface though (Command|8) - although I've had my eye on a Soundcraft M8 or a Mackie 1220 strictly for doing cue mixes for some vocalists that I work with... some are incredibly sensitive to ITB latency, even when it's minimal, so I figure a mixer would be of benefit there. I'm sure waxxy would agree! ![]() |

First one I had really was a crappy behringer 4 channel mixer I 'robbed' off my brother.
Then I went out and bought a Soundcraft EX8 (I think that's the model number) for live sound, really nice desk, not had a single problem with it in about 3 years. |

Ratshack Reverb v2.0 features a completely re-written delay engine, which more accurately recreates the suck of the original. Never before has a vintage effect of such low quality been as painstakingly modeled as Ratshack Reverb v2.0. That is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while! |

He He...
A tiny little...BehringerUB502 I was surprised how small it was. Very light as well. Almost too light in a (might not last very long kind of way) ![]() Anyway it served me very well but I gave it away in the end to a friend in need. ![]() |
