Default getting crakles when recording audio

sounds fine when iam recording a mix but once i play it back theres lots of crackle , i made sure the leads were ok checked that the audio was travellering in the right direction . The music iam playing is fine on another system . Iam running out of ideas .

can anyone help ?

are you serious man?! It could be a bunch of things. My bet is that your CPU isn't coping.

Soundcard buffers, latency and all that. They sound like they are too low. Give us some details of what you're using and the settings.

Yeah, sounds like your system might be struggling. What are you using? Might be a good idea to state your system spec and what software you're running etc
