That's the band. Not the furry things that reside in the Clifton zoo and the nightclubs.

I can't make this one unfortunately. Have fun, whoever goes, I expect a show report here ASAP! And don't be TOO afraid of Trev.. He's only a little bit scary in person!

Show report then. It was rubbish. It was essentially just a guitar show. Fine if you like that kind of thing but I wouldnt have paid £18 to get in if I'd have known. The pro-audio section) was about 3 feet tall by 19inches wide (that'll be one small rack then). Universal audio had a number of compressors in the rack. I slowed long enough to note they had a reissue la3a (on of my faavourite vocal compressors), I stopped to ask how much and hear it and was most disappointed. The fool responsible had the thing wired so the material went through every processor in series. I noticed all the other needles dancing and pointed out that was going to affect what I was hearing very significantly. Aforementioned fool tried to tell me it wouldn't affect the sound as they weren't compressing. I decided I'd had enough at that point and headed for the door (pausing only to snag a Blackstar head for the studio) I'm all done with UK music shows...

AES is in London next year... That one might be worth attending.

Too bad about muisc live, but not that surprising really. All the very interesting stuff (to us, anyway!) takes up a very small niche in the grand scheme of the MI retail world...

I wish that were true (and will surely be there) but I was at Amsterdam last year (on the Unity Audio stand) and have gotta say it wasnt all that...

Just to illustrate my point about it being 'Guitar Live'.....

even Novation aimed their new launchpad at guitarists. They were demo-ing it with Live....triggering guitar samples...

I didn't go, but my cousin did and that's what he told me. I quietly had a chuckle to myself for saving the £18 in and 1/2 a day (well, a 1/4 cos there was hardly any exhibitors this year) I would otherwise have wasted.
