Default Need a set of drum mics

Ey up fellas, need to get me some drum mics but my budget isn't massive - may look on the bay for some used kits, but I have a budget of £200-250.
I need a kick, 3 toms and 2 overheads.

Any recommendations?

Edit - I have been looking at these - http://www.dv247.com/invt/36331/

No snare drum?

For what you asked for: AKG D112, Sennheiser 604s on toms; Audix F15 on overheads. Wham..On budget!

I've used an SM-57 in the past and I've found it gave pretty good results actually. Could use it in conjunction with a snare mic though I suppose.

I initially put a snare mic in the OP but then edited it out, as I'm unsure.

Is there a bundle available for what you suggested or do they have to be purchased individually?

Have tried pricing that lot up (can't find the Audix F15 on DV) but the kick and 3 toms comes to nearly £400 alone!

sorry. thought you were talking about buying on fleabay - there are some amazing deals on used gear at the moment. I got a pair of 604s for about £90. If you cant stretch to 604s consider another pair of sm57s for toms and an oktava 219 for snare

Gotta agree with Trev's recommendations... I use a D112 on kick drum and e604's on toms myself... hard to beat them within their price bracket.

Would suggest you also check out Rode M3's for the overheads.

Love the D112...I also use the Audix D6 a lot. Personally I love SM57's on toms.

Place them carefully...they tend to get whacked by drummers pretty often.

As I have been fortunate enough to encounter some money from a will I think I'm going to go for 3 e604's and a pair of Rode M3's.

Thanks for the advice guys, once I've got some recordings done I'll share away with you....(and ask for some tips probably!)

I'll give some recording samples once I've got them

EDIT - just ordered them from DV as they were cheaper than ebay - £161 delivered for the pair - bargain!
