wow rouge you got some really nice classics there ..and your using a atari to sequence them your a brave man and get extra brownie points from me ..nice one
Thanks for your kind comments. Over the years I have discarded the few digital synths I owned and gone back to 100% analogue, you just can't beat it even though its a pain in the arse. My synth tech produces "special builds" for me that cater for my needs so some of the names you see will not be recognised. The Atari is the most simple and reliable form of timing ever, I've never had a problem ever. The only problem I have is gigging as I tend to take everything which costs a fortune to move and my studio is on the top floor of a building and have to use a couple of spiral stairs which is a nightmare. Cheers Brendan |

ive still got my atari 520 and atari 1040s and original atari monitor too..but i dont use them anymore ive sealed them up and put them in storage in my attic..
i agree the timing was really good with the ataris thats why they became the industry standard for many years ..every studio you would go in had at least one atari computer. my wife wants me too sell the ataris because they take up space ..if anyones intrested post back with offers. ![]() |

I had a 520STFM and mono monitor myself... and still wince at the memory of paying £120 for a 512Kb RAM upgrade!!! It also introduced me to Steinberg, initially Pro24 and I have stuck with Steinberg ever since, now running Cubase 4. ______________________________

Here's most the gear I have then. Quite a lot of it is budget stuff cos I haven't the cash, and I'm not gonna go into all the VSTs I have; there's too many:
PC Stuff Dell Dimension 4600 w/ Windows XP Cakewalk Project5 Ableton Live 6 Lite M-Audio Edition Guitar Pro 5 Hardware Behringer MS16 Monitor Speakers Korg Microkorg Fender Toronado GT HH (discontinued, baby!) Novation Nocturn Korg Mini Kaoss Pad Korg CA-30 Tuner Marshall MG Series 15CD (hoping to upgrade soon) Rocktron Banshee Talkbox Digitech Synth Wah DB Designs Ocsillator E-Bow M-Audio Fast Track Pro Shure C606 Microphone Yamaha PSR-74 Wacom CTF-420 Graphics Tablet (helps when automating effects) Picture of my Guitar below. ![]() ______________________________

Have an NT2A myself and currently have the TLM103 on my "must buy" list. How do you find it compares specifically with the NT2A?

Its not bad dave. Iv had some good results and some bad. Having some decent pres and vocal processing tools helped a lot. However, 103 has great on everything. lovely 'bite' to the sound. Always sat in pretty much straight away. Its my first choice vocal mic. |

been looking at these for sooo long but theres just too much on the "to buy" list. Synths and racking/cables have to come first me thinks but soon as i get some serious £££ i think the vulture is gonna have to be a purchase. |
