Sure IEMs are really good theres 3 or 4 different ones at different price ranges up to £150 i think. Dont slay me for this but i have a pair of phillips bulk standard off the shelf jobbies that i got for £20 and theyre pretty damn good, can really see whats going on in a mix with them and i actually use them as a reference once ive done a mix. dont ask me model numbers but theyre £20 from currys digital and theyre the ones that are kinda ported. black and red, you'll know them when you see them, they dont have all this bass boost nonsense on them just a sound pair of in ear headphones

Might be a bit over your budget but ACS are awesome:

The Skull Candy Smokin' Buds (or Metal Duds or whatever weird name they came up with) are meant to be rather good considering the fairly low cost. I keep meaning to pick a pair up myself but end up buying something else. Then my mp3 player broke so there isn't much point.
Note to self: must buy new iPod..... ______________________________

I have a pair of these
http://www.dv247.com/invt/47817/ Not too expensive but they sound great and the sound isolation is very good, even on the loudest of tube trains. Good bass reponse and a good stereo image although sometimes depth can be a bit lacking. This may be due to listening to compressed MP3s on them all the time though. They hold up well against My DT150's though. |
