Very interesting, the blurb says:

Quote:
  • Onboard DSP manages the complex digital crossover for pristine imaging
  • DSP-based EQ and Acoustic Space Controls optimize frequency response for any production environment
Does that mean it's proper *analyzed* room correction? If so, these could well make the short-list later this year to replace my aging Absolute 2's (those flipping Audax tweeters are becoming very difficult to come-by!)

Even if there is no definite price for these yet, do we know the ball park figure?

Hi Dave,

M-Audio UK have not been told yet!

How much do you think they should be?

I'll pass your comments on....

Forum Member MaudioUK - Can you hassle the States?

Best wishes,

Jeremy

Personally I think they should be free to bald blokes called Dave (that might prompt ecc83 to get his hair clippers out )

Being M-Audio I would put them firmly in the sub £500 range, but Digidesign's involvement here kinda puts a spanner in the works for that assumption. I know my Absolute 2's will give up the ghost eventually. I'm not a fan of active speakers, but I'd probably switch for the right pair. But it's one of those purchases where you really need to go and audition your short-list at the same time.

I don't think they'll come in at less than £500 a pair. In fact I'm positive they won't. More soon. As soon as possible.
