Just spoken to Spectrasonics. Omnisphere final product details will be released on September 1st, stock will ship September 15th 2008 and DV has ordered a lorry load!
Spectrasonics have also officially discontinued Atmosphere. On September 1st Spectrasonics will also announce upgrade details from Atmosphere to Omnisphere. We've bought the remaining Atmosphere UK stock as getting Atmosphere and upgrading may prove to be a cost-effective way of getting this year's most anticipated virtual synth release... ![]() ![]() |

This is about as full of WIN as possible. For those who haven't seen the demo videos, get over to spectrasonics.net and check 'em out.
I. Want. Omnisphere. Badly! I'll need the upgrade. I've missed Atmosphere sorely, and not having it properly functional on Intel Macs has caused me a world of hurt on a recent project...! |

I friend of mine is a BIG fan of Spectrasonics but he says that using Stylus RMX for examples leaves his tracks sounding very RMXy!
I am very interested in Omnisphere but if the sales reach what could be expected, then everyone will have one. Is'nt there a danger of saturation of the Omnisphere sound? Or will we all put our own stamp on it? |

I see DV's price on Atmosphere is £159.99 and it's Upgradable to Spectrasonics Omnisphere!
Does that mean there will be a free upgrade? The pre-order on Omnisphere is at £299.00. There's quite a difference in the price! Are those of us who don't own Atmosphere best to but it first? Can we be sure there will be a free upgrade? |

to be fair, if its as good as it seems it wont really matter what price it is. rumour has it around $200/€150 but i believe that is just speculation

my mate gave me the omni sample loops last night this thing sounds amazing..but i think youll be sick of how many movies will be featuring these sounds in there soundtracks..each loop i got was perfect for a horror or sci fi movie lol.
so if your a movie/advert/video game composer get this on day one and youll not need any other vst software to score with ..each sound feels very full and its amazing how this sounds on my crappy hifi speakers god knows how good this will sound when i get some proper monitors ..cant wait ![]() |

Oh wow! This sounds gorgeous.
It's great that they've created a plugin that could encourage users to be a little experimental with their samples. ______________________________
