They must have gotten bored of the emails complaining about how expensive and crippled LE was. So they've lifted some of the restrictions, called it Intro and offered it as a free update to registered LE users.
The biggie.......it lets you rewire. Altho still no complex warp mode. Or REX file support. But its a big improvement over LE anyway ! If I'd known this was coming, I might not have sold it and bought suite 8 ![]() |

I'm serious....
For heavy duty timestretcing, I could use Radius in Logic to get it roughly in the ball bark without too many bad artefacts. Then do the final tweak in the poor mans mode of Intro and rewire back to Logic. Rewire also negates the issues of only having 4 external VST/i or AU. Again...cause Logic will host them. As for effects...just bounce in place etc. For the £, its quite a powerful proposition.... |

Yes I was reading about this.
It looks interesting. Le was a joke. The big problem was that it's hard to offer a Lite version of a concept. People want to try the session view and Ableton know if there's not many restrictions then people would never feel the need to upgrade but the restrictions were too restricting to say the least. I don't think they hit the middle ground with Le like other DAWs have but it's easier to do with other DAWs because of their nature. Before Sonar introduced the Matrix (which is still a work in progress, imo) I'd have been interested in this ______________________________
