Novation Launchpad Now In Stock

The Novation Launchpad is now in stock. All customer pre-orders will be shipped from our warehouse on Monday 2nd November.

Considering the Novation Launchpad was announced October 1st, Novation have really delivered!

It's an interesting trend that more manufacturers are now shipping on the day of announcing new gear or within 1-2 months of the first press release.

Historically, most products have been announced at trade shows such as NAMM and then typically shipped within 6-9 months. I guess the internet has given the manufacturers the confidence that they can create enough market awareness to start manufacturing on a mass scale even before they send the first press release!

The fact that more stuff than ever is now being made in factories that are far more advanced than they ever were in the far east probably means that companies can reliably get the ball rolling on manufacture much earlier than before... how long that will last is hard to say - if the Yuan ever becomes unpegged from the US dollar then the export situation could be, well, tenuous! But for now, it's good news for the consumer in the western world if you want new gear fast!
