Mac only, of course... but looks very nice indeed for a simple one-channel solution! If I were setting up a home VO recording or podcasting setup, for example, this would be high on my list! |

(although it should be noted that DV's description of the H2 is inaccurate on that page, it doesn't actually do Mid/Side - the first product announcements indicated that it would but Zoom revised the spec to X-Y before shipping the product. But I suppose I'm niggling, it's still a cool toy.) |

On their page, the pre in the ONE is described as:
“Based on the award winning mic preamps in Apogee's Ensemble and Duet” So presumably, it’s not the same and further presuming, it’s inferior. But … for half the price of a Duet … it’ll be a winner! ![]() ______________________________

Exactly... the target market would be hard-pressed to do better, I would think - although I won't say definitively until it's actually out and I either hear it or get the opinion of someone I trust.

Yes I agree – but the market can be …. odd. I’m sure the one input will put some people off; especially compared to other units in the same price range that have 4 ins.
Although, of course, in practice a lot of people will only ever need a single mono in! ![]() ______________________________

![]() In any case, if I were a salesperson and someone came in looking for a high-quality podcasting solution for their Mac, this would be the first box I'd show them. |
