Default Sonnox Elite, Sonox Essential and Sonnox Enhance

Sonnox announce three new plug-in bundles:

Sonnox ELITE: The Ultimate Oxford Plugins Collection

Sonnox Essential: Mix Essentials

Sonnox Enhance: Loudness and Punch

Sonnox Elite
includes the full range of all seven Oxford plug-ins: EQ, Dynamics, Inflator, Transient Modulator, Reverb, Limiter and SuprEsser. Offered at a substantial 40% discount from individual unit prices.

Sonnox Essential combines the Oxford EQ, Dynamics, Reverb and SuprEsser plug-ins to provide definitive control of all mixing processes.

Sonnox Enhance offers the ultimate option for maximising loudness and enhancing your mix, containing Oxford Inflator, Limiter and Transient Modulator.

The Question is which Sonnox Plugs are most useful and are these the best bundles Sonnox could have manufactured from the seven discrete products?

Default loudness and punch

My fav is the simple Inflator plug.. just knock it up to 100% and listen to your mix.. it does something really pleasing to the ears. I reckon the Enhance bundle will be a winner, as everyone wants loudness and punch for their mixes these days.. I already have the Inflator and Limiter, so I wont be buying it, but am gonna check out the TransMod to see what I'm missing from this bundle.

Default re: loudness

I agree with richt.. in today's competing market... its GOT to be loud, but that doesnt mean sacrificing dynamic range. I have most of the Oxford plugs, but the Limiter is my default standard - on the end of every mix buss. I mix with it in, so I dont get any suprises at the end. it just does its job, my mixes are loud, but still contain dynamics and are clear.. not crushed to death like some
other Limiters do. Yeah I reckon Enhance will do well, but probably the best value (although more expensive) would the ELITE, as you get the lot and get a 40% discount.. Just wish I'd known about this before collecting them over the last couple years.

Default bundles..

I reckon the Elite is the winner.. I was just about the buy what they called the Oxford 6 Pack, and now they've added the SuprEsser which I've just demo'd and is really pretty cool. So I'm gonna get the Sonnox Elite as its only a bit more than the 6 Pack was, and get the SuprEsser.
Anyone else got SuprEsser? I had in on trial for a couple of weeks, and its a lot more of a plug-in than just a de-esser. I used it to fix all kinds of problems - its like a dynamic EQ really. The graphic display is fantastic, I wish I could have that level of detail on all my plugs.

Default bundles

I've not had time to try the supresser yet but did demo the others and ended up buying them all. These plugins exude class and quality and it's easy to get great results. I had a blues track to master recently which sounded weak because the drums were mixed too far back. I put it through the Transmod and the result was nice punchy drums which tranformed the track in a way eq or compressors could never do. Amazing.

i think the sonnox dynamics are the best ive heard but ive never liked there reverbs i feel theres much better reverbs out there now in fact the best one ive heard latly is breverb its an amazing sounding reverb with lots of subtle controls and it makes drums or pads sound spooky.

if no ones tried the breverb then i suggest you get a demo and try it out yourself--http://www.dv247.com/invt/47874/

Wilkins' work is also showcased on Natasha Bedingfield's latest hit Pocket Full of Sunshine.

Have to say, the Oxford Dynamics is my "goto" compressor/limiter. I use it everywhere I need a transparent functional compression. The only time I use anything else, like one of the UAD1 or LiquidMix compressors, is when I actually want a particular character to the sound, like using a Fairchild on drum submixes.
