all that hype from novation and all they do is redesign a crappy product like the remote zero sl..instead of wasting time redesigning stuff they should be working hard on fixing the bugs in automap..ive had the remote zero sl from day one of release and its one of the worst things ive ever bought..the pads are useless for drums,,the faders are too small and arnt accurate enough to use as a mixer controller.the values jump way too much for them to be off any use..the only thing that are good are the knobs but there over sensitve and on some vsts make it a nightmare too use it correctlly.

ive upgraded it too the automap 3 software but thats still not as good as its hyped up to be also one of the screens is now knackered half of the pixals are not being displayed i contacted novation and they wanted a fortune to fix it.the guy i spoke to explained it ws a common fault thats easy to fix but will cost around 80 pounds to fix and post back too me ..also the thing is very cheaply made and feels like if you drop it it will shatter to pieces..its so bad i dont use it anymore i just keep it on a shelf in my studio but never use it in fact i hate the thing with a passion it ws the worst purchase ive ever made ..id advise anyone intrested in buying one to test it out before buying if you really want automap buy the nocturn its cheaper and works much better with automap than the remote zero sl.

i was hoping they make another drum machine or another synth ill give novation credit they do make excellent synths .

Does look interesting. But then so does the crazy electric bike on one of their other videos. They're like crazy-inventor-people.

Excellent display though, its pretty.

I agree - but instead I'm off to VinItaly in Verona to taste wine for the weekend. Gotta have one's priorities straight, you see.

Probably won't be back online till after Easter so talk to you guys later, don't scare the new kids off while I'm away!

Novation storm back into '09 with their redesigned and pumped up Remote SL Mk II. Described by them as not only as a controller/peripheral, but as a musical instrument, the new SL boasts a semi-weighted Fatar fast touch keyboard with full DAW and plug in control surface, clearly feeding back visual info to the operator.

All knobs and faders are touch sensitive, and a simple controller 'touch' fires up all mapping info onto the large LCD display. Backlit LED buttons and encoders show clearly the status of any control at any time. The new SL also features transport control, an 'XY' pad, 8 drum pads, a pitch/mod stick plus the unique Novation 'speed dial' encoder (inspired no doubt by the Nocturn) for quick cursor positioned parameter adjustment on the fly.

There'll be 25, 49 and 61 key versions and also a 'keyboardless' Zero too featuring longer-throw faders and a crossfader (back to the inspirational Nocturn again eh!?)

More info and DV special offer here.. http://www.dv247.com/news/Novation%2...0Offers/132212
So does all this Automap 3 pro lark work ok on a Mac pro/logic8 set-up ? as im under the impression it doesn't because i do like the look of that Zero SL MK2 but no good if it wont intergrate into my setup.
The picture looks to be a Macbook pro/ableton live setup.

I'm pretty much sure it works with everything (though old v of automap didnt work with rtas/protools - not sure if the new one does?)
