Default Novation updates to Automap 3 & new fx

http://www.novationmusic.com/news/au...nched_at_namm/

Also there is a pro version of Automap, which will be charged for. I can't help but feel this is a bit wrong, in the sense that they are kinda crippling their own hardware to make more money from software. If you've paid for the hardware already, why pay more to get the best performance out of it ?

Also, they are launching a range of new plugins based on the effects on their hardware synths

http://www.novationmusic.com/product...suite/#details

That's a bit luke warm as well. The synths are nice, but their effects sections are nothing special (certainly they are easy to replicate). It says nothing about being able to import/export effect delay settings, so even the benefit of say loading the patch from the hardware onto the effect running on a 3rd party app isn't there. I await to see their pricing before I start moaning too much though. They may surprise us and be fair !

Well, I can't help ya.

Good luck though, report back.

I only sold the Nocturn because I was never using it... it looked cool on the desktop but I almost never remembered to actually reach for it. Still a pretty clever toy.

ive updated mt remote zero sl to automap 3 and guess what its finally working properly but now the left screen has some missing pixals !!! after all the crap ive had with this thing ill not be buying anymore novation stuff again there poorly made the automap technology is really flawed sure some vsts work good but lots dont map properly and need tweaking by yourself which defeats the whole object of automap ..also theres major problems with cubase 5

It's not just down to Automap when things don't work properly.

I've found this with using plugs. When warpped for Automap, access to the presets dissapears. This is as much as the VST's fault as Automap. Most plugs come with their own built in preset brosw, load and save functions. These rely on the host's menu system, which is a bad idea. The part about not being able to map via the host file system is part Automap, part instrument's fault..
