Hiya

Are the new Mackie SRM450 V2 lighter in weight than the previous model?

Also do you have stock at the moment.

Cheers

Bob

Default Mackie Srm 450 V2

Hello Bob

Yes, the new SRM450's are around 5kg's lighter in weight.

We currently have both the SRM450 and SRM450V2's in stock at the moment.

Hope this helps

Mark

Is there any change in dynamics than the previous ones? I've been using mine for 4 years (solo singing) and they take a lot of beating. I would like some new ones though and use the existing ones as monitors and before I embark on such actions, one should know what one is buying . . (sorry for the snobby use of language - i'm actually quite normal). oh, and how much (pair)?

Hello mrbungle,

Although the original SRM450 sounds amazing, very rugged and are really reliable they have totally redisgned the V2 from the ground up. There is a good tech report here: (pdf)
http://www.mackie.com/products/srmv2...h%20Report.pdf

It even out-peforms the original with some very clever stuff in the design.
