i have 1200 watt power amp and a pair of bass cabs and mid/horn cabs, no idea what the wattage is of any but never had any trouble with volume or distortion, i need to replace the passive crossovers which are housed in the bass cabs, what frequency do they need to cross at and what wattage should they be? any help would be sooo helpfulmartin |

Typical crossover for the bass cabinet would be 120Hz.
If you are lucky you might be able to see some markings on the back of the bass drive units - these markings could indicate the wattage of the bass drivers. In any case, they are undoubtedly requiring the lion's share of the wattage in the system. So, if your speakers are any way close to 1200W in total then I would guess your bass cabinets are a large chunk of 1000W. |
