Default Wireless 'In Ear' Personal Monitor System

Hi Guys,

Anyone have any feedback on a good system to start with or even somewhere where I can try these things out?

I'm the lead vocalist in a pub/event band and find that there are just times when I can't compete with our "go for it" guitarist. God bless them.

I'm wireless on the mic, so while wedges would be an improvement, I'll probably end up tripping over them.

Our drummer has used in-ears before and he thinks they're naff unless we get all the kit going through the PA as I'll not hear the guitars once plugged in.

I could maybe go one ear - but I've never tried these things before.

Any advice welcome.

Cheers,

Mikey

Say £250.00 to £450.00, but as little as possible really.

That's a little tight but this is in your budget:

When you get a little extra money get yourself a pair (or even a single mono) fitted earplug.

If the band dont all get mic'd it is probably worthwhile trying a mono plug otherwise you could well find yourself missing cue-points etc. Be aware that you won't find this easy. Expect a lot of hard work to get used to it. We got a budget in ear setup for one of the bands I play in and the singer couldnt hack it so it lies dormant in my gear cupboard now (actually, maybe I'll stick it up for sale at some point)
