OK. My friend is opening a new dance studio. Large hall but low ceiling. I would like to put four speakers mounted on the beams across the ceiling driven by two amps. My budget for the speakers, amps, cables and a small mixer to take CD, MP3, etc, is about £1200. There are several products in DV247 land that look like they would fit the bill but I would love to hear some suggestions. By the way, this is not a ballet school. Modern tap and jazz - some of the music we use is just plain loud! So any suggestions would be realy great.

Samson SX1200 POWER AMPLIFIER at DV247.COM - amplifier
Tapco J800 JUICE SERIES POWER AMPLIFIER at DV247.COM - pa speakers Tapco MIX 100 Ultra-Compact Mixer at DV247.COM - mixer A little inexpensive, but this lot will supply good sound quality and volume. Of course there's cables on top, but they won't set you back that much. ![]() ______________________________

Hey Mark
Thanks for responding to Tim's thread.. Could I request you pop some initial suggestions down on a post please (for other members) to get a basic idea of what type of solutions you feel may be initially viable in this instance? Many thanks ______________________________

Hi Tim
This is my suggestion although may take you over budget slightly it would sound good. These units are ideal as they are a sweet sounding popular installation type device with good power handling and crisp top end but most importantly the have the appropriate brackets available. Proel - Technology as Art £229 inc vat Appropriate brackets Proel - Technology as Art £29.99 inc vat Amplifier: The popular EP1500 which can have input soft clip compressor enabled to help protect your speakers. Behringer EP1500 EUROPOWER EP1500 POWER AMPLIFIER at DV247.COM The mixer I suggest would be the Behringer 1204. Behringer XENYX 1204 Premium Mixer at DV247.COM Hope this helps. Regards Mark Morgan |
