Just wondering if I'm the last person still using it.
I guess i use it because its where i started all those years ago lol But in its defence, I love it as its so fast to get your ideas down before you lose them the downsides are thats its a bit unstable and it doesnt support midi controller signals on the fx plugins. which is annoying, but u can use envelopes. hopefully that will change if/when acid pro 7.0 finally arrives wont hold my breath its a love - hate relationship i guess. where others just love to hate it ![]() |

I've been using Acid since it first came out, several years ago.
I couldn't live without it now! It does crash at strange times, especially when trying to recording a vocal or guitar track. It doesn't seem to like you recording over and over the same track. Also it does weird things with some plugins, like list them as available but then refuses to load them. Zebo ______________________________

Acid pro 2 is the first music software i used and its great for stretching audio loops i used it as far as version 4 then jumped ship to cubase because i wanted a host that run vsti's more reliably.
I still post music on acidplanet.com and have been doing so since 2001. ______________________________

ive used it in all its various incarnations but always as a kind of sketch pad - as u said the speed you can get ideas down and change things quickly makes it a very handy tool....i just export the various parts of the sketch into nuendo and take it from there

I have used it since 2001 and now use Acid Pro 6. Never a major problem, used it to mix and master several commercial releases both for myself and others. I have used it on classical recordings. I use it to put together my radio show each week and it's great for that, so easy to add sound effects and voice overs. I had a Pro Tools project from another studio that needed cello so I dumbed the waves into Acid, recorded the cello, sent the project back and the artist absolutely LOVED the end results. It's not so much the tools you use, it's the creativity of the user.

I have used ACID Pro 6 in the past and really liked it. The only problems I had with it (and they are major IMO)...are the absence of meters on the tracks (when not recording) and the apparent lack of interest from Sony to develop it any further.
I guess they will, but Pro 6 was released way back in 2006 (April) IIRC. A very long time ago. I think ACID Music Studio 7 has been available for months or longer now. ![]() It seems strange to not release ACID Pro 7 after all this time. |

i use this program along side logic, i use it to get the bpm of vocals or what have you, or doing pre programmd mega mixes, Acid is good but i didnt see much of an improvment in 7, just looks nicer, i'l stick with 6 for now

Anyone know how to set the record count in to zero?
A guy elsewhere has asked and I don't have the demo rigged at the moment and in any case I am in the process of clearing the "decks" for a System Recovery Disc first time episode! Dave. |
