Default Winter has arrived in Scotland!

This is what we saw when we opened the curtains this morning!

Needless to say I am not at work!

This is just the start of it!

Just when you think it can't get any worse. Now we have pouring rain and 90mph hurricane winds through today and tonight. The wind is already very strong and the roads are flooding. I am off work this week but i dropped the other half off at work. She is going to stay at her mother's house tonight so i don't have to pick her up and bring her home in those conditions. Especially considering she is pregnant. It's just too dangerous.

All Schools are closed in Glasgow and the entire central belt of Scotland.

It looks like it is going to be a bad one.

Could well be. I'll leave the blues song on the back burner until i find out if i'm going to be out of pocket because of this storm. It is absolutely wild already. I was around the house picking things up that might blow in the wind and hit my car. Now i have a tiny drip of water coming in one of the living room windows!

Yes it's a bit blustery.

The Met Office have advised people to put on a DVD of Braveheart and pretend it's historical fact. I thought I'd pass that on.

I'm sitting here with a bloody torch just waiting on the power going out!

Lights have been flickering!

Have a look at this! http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2011...ec3_lnk1|87916

And if after reading that, you are wondering what the hell "Bawbag" means.

"Baw" is a slang word for "Ball" up here. So in English it means ball bag. Ball bag meaning, man's scrotum! Bawbag is a common derogatory term used up here to insult someone. Pretty much the same as calling someone an ar*ehole. You might call them a bawbag instead.

The fine people of Scotland appear to have dubbed this storm, Hurricane Bawbag
