You can of course put your music online at MySpace UK
Otherwise, if you want to upload, say a big WAV file and invite people to download that, then you need somewhere that allows you to upload big files. Such a place has already been suggested by, you guessed it, waxxy; a great place to upload big files. |

if the file is under 100mb, if find Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire quite good. The free acount also allows you to track how many times the file is downloaded, which I havnt seen elsewhere

You can't stream from sendspace or other file sharing sites.. Only download and some people might be put off by the ad heavy free service they provide.
Or an Amazon S3 account. I have about 6GB of stuff stored there. Some secure backup, some streaming MP3 and FLV... This is a good option if you want full control over quality, which you won't with MySpace. I can also use it to submit tracks to clients. You get billed per GB of storage, per GB of transfer, per 1000 GET or PUT requests. It's not too difficult to use with freely available tools. It costs me a dollar or two per month.. at current exchange rate, stupidly cheap. OK, it's not FREE, but it's as close as doesn't matter. You probably spend more on mars bars per month. I use that with a freeware MP3/FLV player embedded in both my own website and my MySpace page, ignoring their own player so that I can have 20-30 tracks to listen to. Like this.... Soundclick is a good place to upload a lot of files. It's free for the most part, has internal charts and so forth, and can be hooked up with your Paypal so that you can start selling MP3s online.
If you're willing to pay, you get some advertising space on the site where you want. There's other bonuses, but I'm not too sure as I've never paid to be a Gold member. http://www.soundclick.com/ ______________________________

For letting people listen. I setup a facebook page. Much better quality then myspace.
Filedepot is quite good. Keeps files for upto 100days I believe. It renews everytime the file is accessed/downloaded as well ! or it used to anyhow.. |

(Just googled dropbox) it looks like a prety slick idea. The sync aspect is simply brilliant. The video on their website explains things really well. Nice one, sureno |
