Well. I was subjected to it this weekend. Hopefully it will be the only time I have watch the current crop of wannabes.
What has struck me this year, is just how terrible some of them are vocally. I don't know wether they try to hard, get nervous etc... but some were so bad that they had me reaching for the mute button. I've had better sounding experiences on a toilet.. So, for anyone else that was made to suffer. Who would you put your money on? Mine would be the girl from the Welsh Valleys. Only cos she's the best looking ![]() |

I think everyone should not watch it. Then maybe it would get ripped off the air. Like it should be.

She was the only one I thought was respectable. The rest were failures from previous years, annoying, over confident etc. She seemed like a nice person with the best voice. So I dunno !. ![]() |

i agree ed she was the only one with a shred of vocal talent the rest are posers or future kids tv presenters..
after the farce which happened last week im glad ive not really watched it my wife loves it but while she watches it i useally play cars with the baby or we play games on my psp.. and the less said about those two numptys from ireland the better the thought of them gets my blood boiling i hate them after the way they messed up that other girls chance in the first few shows then they denyed they tried to sabotage her ..the liers with no talent and we can all guess why lou keeps them in the competetion id come out and say it but i know my post would get deleted lolthe shows fronted by cowell arnt talent contests anyway all they are away of conning the public into voting for something which they have no control off saying who will win and they get charged top money to do it..hes getting rich of peoples stupidity good for him but im not getting suckered in. speaking of suckered in i wonder if the twins stay at lous house lol |

The importance of these shows on the Music Industry is overrated really. If you look at the facts..
Recently, only Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke are making it work out. They are still fairly on in their careers though. The Guy that won in 2007, was rapidly dropped etc. Same about 2005. He's not had a song out in years. And 2004.. Going even further back to Popstars, none of them are really involved in music these days. Even Will Young & Gareth Gates seem to be trying to be TV presenters. The obvious exception being Girls Aloud, who won in 2002. And Lemar, who comes out with something every so often. Everyone else since them until Leona Lewis has faded dismally. JLS have a good shot at doing well imo. So I'd say that 3/4 acts of of the dozens that make the knock outs is a pretty poor rate of attrition. The rest have had a forgettable xmas number 1 and that is pretty much their career done. Or were given deals after not winning but failed. Just like hundreds of non televised artists do each year. Sign on to label, label doesn't get what they want/need...say goodbye and possibly be left short in the pocket for your time. . Same goes for winners of Britain's Got Talent. You will find them pounding the stages of Butlins and Pontins. The BBC were right to move away from Music competitions. They obviously twigged on that making a star is a lot harder then making an ass out of people trying to do the foxtrot ![]() Jedward actually have a good shot of going far in the competition. Simply because initially Simon Cowbell was so hard on them. People voted to simply annoy him. You'll find he has changed tactics now. He won't say anything other then they are entertaining. By backing off he surely must hope that the public will stop voting. Or his work is done and he needs to play with someone else. The good news is that even if they win, statistics show that they are likely to last a very short while. And that popular artists that are found and pushed via normal methods still outweigh the winners of these fowl shows by a clear margin. It therefore doesn't matter who wins, who loses or even who votes. The Music Industry is rolling on business as usual. Outside of this, it is Simon Cowbell and ITV that are making money from pretending to be important. I hope that everyone sleeps well knowing this. ![]() |

Ed's money is wasted yet again on ANOTHER pretty welsh girl. Wasted is such a strong word. She was ace, just lived too far away to make it work out. I judge every girl since against her, and they always fail to live up to what I want. I think she was perfect ![]() Soppy story over. And actually I didn't vote in Xfactor. So therefore I didn't waste any more money on Welsh girls. Altho considering the messes that stumble around the Arcadian and Broad St looking for a late night Spar selling more booze, cigarettes and fake tan...I think I'd rather spend the money on a phoneline lol |

its funny you should mention butlins ..today i saw a flyer advertising the kid from ireland with the unpronouncable name and chico and some of the other losers are doing a concert there next year....oh yeah they hit the bigtime !!!
whats crazy is the way the show makes out that louie/simon are big time players in the music buisness but in reality they were one of the biggest jokes of the music buisness the only really big act louie had before going on that show was westlife and boyzone and westlife was really ronans pet project not louies but louie musceled him out thats why ronan sued him and didnt have nothing to do with him for many years..the same goes for simon he ws known as the one hit novelty record guy he was never intrested in creating longterm carrears just quick money then drop the act really quick..his so called hits were also 99 percent of them cover versions the only real act he signed which didnt do loads of covers was five but my best mate was in that group and told me storys about how simon told them hed make them all financally secure and give them solo carrears once they split but once they did he turned his back on them all and made sure other companys wouldnt sign them by spreading rubbish about them..simon isnt a nice person and id rather have no deal than sign a deal with him ..each week you see these people so desperate to impress him and not the crowd and you can see the glee on his face and he knows exactlly what to say to minipulate them into being his lap dogs...sad and has anyone else noticed the evil look louie gives the twins and the blonde haired guy are up on stage?he looks at them as though there lapdancers on stage..reminds me of johnathan king lol |
