not knocking this guy but isnt this just a case of sticking to a particular scale and improvising on it? obviously your hands must be confident in the movement and be familiar with patterns etc.

any way cool sounds

I suppose. But isn't that what any guitarist etc would do? You could also modulate to other scales. I just like how guitary it sounds and looks while done on a keyboard. I wish my hand would move like that around the keys!

That's the case with the majority of improvs/solos though. I know he's not moving around many different keys, but he's got a good playing style.

More importantly though, the tune is cool. Apart from when he screws up the end..

Thoroughly agree!

Any hints on how to get to that level of playing/improvisation, anyone?

And yes, I've heard the one of "Practise, practise, practise."
