Default Anyone more in the know about Vista than me...

...has anyone installed SP1? There is a PerfLogs folder created itself in the OS drive. I googled it and got a few links, but still am unsure what it is. I know it has to do with Vista monitoring performance (which I'm alright with really) I just don't want MS to be able to poke around on my harddrive. I highly doubt this is the case but thought I'd ask in case someone can actually give me a straighter answer than is on the Vista forums?

I just know I wish I didn't have it! Sorry that I can't be more constructive, Wilty.

I found that site but not that page hehe. Basically all of that goes over my head though, I don't want to create a Data Collector set (do I?) and was quite happy without having the option.
Thanks for link though Dave, even if I am still none the wiser

The trick with vista is to leave well alone, anything it does just let it do it. The worst thing you can do is mess about with it, theres already enough bugs with updates.

By the way you should be looking into SP2 very soon, the beta is out and seems to have solved a lot more bugs

I haven't really had any problems with it if I'm honest. I'm pretty computer-stupid really (its something I'm working on, as much as I have to) and haven't really done much to it apart from the basic optimisation stuff listed here and there. Thanks, will just leave it be then hehe.
