Cheers, chaps.

It's kind-of a bit sucky now, though. I have £500 on the table in front of me, and I can't think of anything to spend it on. Not a single thing. I've already got everything I can think of desiring, leaving me with £500 + the money in my bank account (which has been steadily rising over the past few months since I got help for my guitar buying problem), and not a shitting idea what I can possibly do with it all. Do I now just bite the bullet and accept that I'm old, and put it in a high interest savings account for a year and put it towards a house?

I am scared of growing up

That said, DV guys, you'll find my address and details in my customer account which uses the same "*edit, cut, silly google*" email address as this forum account. I know I said there's nothing I want, but if you can send me a Profire 2626, that'd be magic.

Look on the bright side youngster - you are 15 years away from the big 40. The advice from an old geezer like me would be to consider 500 premium bonds. They might earn less than a high interest account but they might earn much more, maybe even a million. Premium bonds can be cashed-in and refunded to your bank account any time and you will receive your money within 10 days. So, the cash is more accessible than a 30 day notice account and just out of way enough to reduce too much temptation to get your hands on the cash and blow it on something silly. You need to hold bonds for one full calendar month before they go in to the monthly draw.
