It's not dangerous but it's awkward if it happens when meeting the future mother-in-law for the first time.

It depends on a couple of things. First of all, what size are the cloggs?
And also, which brand of treacle. Some are stickier then others.

Wearing size7, and with sainsburys own brand rubbish. I still reckon the fly would be so slow that the spider would still catch and eat it...so my answer is irelevant.
