How do I turn the bloody thing off?

i presume on subscribing to threads right? would imagine go into advanced edit and change the subscription option to no email then save

go User CP > Edit Options and turn it off from in there.

Go to http://forums.dv247.com/subscription.php to view all your subscriptions. I presume you can switch them off from there ( not sure because I never subscribe to any thread ).

Go to http://forums.dv247.com/profile.php?do=editoptions to make sure your Default Thread Subscription Mode is set to Do not subscribe

Okay. It didn't work. I still have a hundred gazillion emails a day - how do I make it stop???

Trev, although you've changed the default when posting to a thread, you're probably still subscribed to shed loads of threads. Go "Quick Links > Subscribed Threads" (or this link may take you straight there: http://forums.dv247.com/subscription.php) and delete your subscriptions to the threads you've previously posted to.

umm, odd! I've looked in the backend its set that your not automatically subscribed to threads. The emails you are getting, are they about new threads you have commented in or just the old ones which you have commented in before you turned the automatic subscription off?

Dave mentioned this previously but go http://forums.dv247.com/subscription...ewsubscription, tick the boxes of the threads you are subscribed to and choose what you want to do from the drop downbox. That should fix it.. Otherwise I don't know!

Hmm. I had set it to "no email notifications". Iv've now deleted all subscriptions. Let's see if that works!
