Default Roland Classic Reissues

I think DV should get the schematics for the classic Roland gear, some good electronics experts, and make a sideline of new 303s, 909s, and 808s to the original spec and sell them.

There is of course the matter of copyright ownership... otherwise Roland's lawyers would be taking DV's credit card and keeping it!

That is true. It is a bit unlikely. But a new 'replica' 303 and a new 'replica' 909 (both purchased at a reasonable price, with all mod-cons) strung together would be (granted very generic) bliss...

I'm not so sure about that. Obviously, you'd rebrand and give it a new aesthetic, much like the Adafruit XoxboX, Deep Bass Nine, Freebass, etc. etc.

Aah yes, but that's a very different suggestion to your original post, isn't it.

Yeh, sorry - I guess Roland Reissues could be construed as a touch misleading.

Deviously masked and updated but fundamentally still Roland Reissues, is more apt.

I was shown the website linked below by the owner of a Roland forum and remembered this thread:

Good find Dave
I know where I'll be going if I get a small lottery win, I'd love a 303 clone.

Never heard of them - very odd, as I've looked everywhere for a 303 and 808 clone.

x0xb0x seems to be de facto in 303 clones.

I have a Control Synthesis Deep Bass Nine which is very good. I may flog it, though, as I've just got too many synths now.
