... but bear in mind that Novatech probably sell thousands of them and so can negotiate a correspondingly lower purchase price as IT kit is their core market. If Novatech sold the odd synth or drum kit, I reckon you'd see the price difference swing similarly in DV's favour in a price comparison.

Also don't forget, the Synergy brand is specifically chosen to be suitable for audio tasks and that there is a specialised support team for that specific requirement too... Novatech being a high volume "box shifter" (and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that) won't have the same depth of specialised service and support.

Are you talking about Oxford 911 chipset?

Not specifically, no. I mean it's just a case of they will have chosen components and peripherals that they have tested to work well with the DAW PC's (and bundled software) they sell...in effect, it takes the guess work out of it for the customer.
