Bump. Recently:

Celemony Melodyne. Only have the demo, which can be quite fiddlesome with its random noise. Its easy-ish to get round by setting up an aux, sending to it, then using the aux to feed the input of another audio track...record the corrected audio..and in the words of Ramsay...DONE. I will be purchasing this soon !
Also really handy for showing notes, kets etc that I'd otherwise spend ages getting not quite right. This is a must have app...

RP Predator. This thing is seriously evvviill. I love it's arp programmer, the layout and 'it' just in general.

Linplug ChronoX. It's absolutely scandalous what this synth can do. Quite possibly, the best sample based synth engine you'll ever come across. It doesn't seem to do normal sounds, so it might not be a 'goto' like other apps. But for spacey, trippy, ambient, quirky noises and much more..then thing is great !

Novation V-Station. I'm loving this death. The beauty of it is it's simplicity and authenticity to the real deal. It may pale in terms of specs compared to modern soft synths, but it's still capable of some epic sounds. Turn the arp on, turn the delay feedback and distortion up...and listen to it go hell for leather !

PSP Nitro. Gotta be one of the nicest eq's about at the moment. Get it right, and your mixes will come alive with punch and drive. The 'Car Radio' preset is a killer place to start as well..

Nitro is easily one the best filter plugs available IMO. The PSP Master Q is another one of my favourite PSP plugs.

I'm always getting confused with Nitro & Neon. Nitro is their filter effect, Neon is the EQ. Nitro is a wicked filter, so shapable... Neon is the EQ ! THink they do more then one version.

Master Q is on my want list !

I still haven't actually managed to put an anywhere near finished track together yet so I'm probably not really qualified to comment here, but I have fun abusing:

Glitch-Brilliant fun, been tweaking around with it for a month or 2 and get different and more messed up results every time

Sidekick-Because I can watch tutorials till the cows come home but can never get ducking and keying as well as this little beaut can. I know I'll need to learn eventually but this is a godsend at the moment

V-station-As Ed said, holds its own really well, versitile and most of all it was cheap. Like a budgie. A bargain budgie.

Cubase4's Roomworx-Reverby fun, just getting into mangling this and C4's in house compressors together to make some ridiculous drums.

Like I said, I'm still right at the start and still waiting to get into my own space again so I haven't been at it as much as I would have liked, but these are what I've been tinkering with lately.

Yes xenon is the one. Lovely plug but it requires an ilok so it's a no go for me.

I am a heavy software only user. The only two software packages I might waive my disinterest in hardware keys for are Samplitude and Cubase.

But plugins...no. That might change as there are a lot of high end plugs that use Ilok for copy protection but until some point in future...non

It's a dislike I have for any additional copy protection that is not 100% software based. There are so many options that do not require additional hardware or USB ports taken up that I just side step software packages that must have a USB key to operate.

Yes but all the software based security gets cracked , as of late ilok doesnt thats why companys use ilok and you'll see more companys leaning towards ilok.

Well, time to dust this one off I think.

Flavor of the month for me have to be Native Instruments. A few weeks ago I got a Kontrol 1 interface, Kore Player, Battery 3 and Massive. The Kontrol 1 and battery both came with vouchers for Kore soundpacks, of which I purchased additional presets for Massive and a sampled sax & brass.

I love the little Kontrol 1. It lacks sheer i/o, but sounds amazxing and the tricks with assigning controls to the buttons and wheel are a very neat idea. Scrubbing through projects in Logic has never been easier !

Battery is a beat beast. So many samples, easy to manipulate, multi i/o etc. Only shame is it lacks a built in sequencer like Ultrabeat or Reason's drum module. Manual programming (my usual method) is very slow as it has to be done in the piano editor. Other then that...full marks !

Massive is now my go option. The addon preset set was as good or slightly better then the factory one, which is a rarity for most addon sets.

The sax and brass is impressive. Limited, wouldn't worry any of the giga sized sampler instruments...it simply doesn't have the articulation or recording of nuance/phrasing.but for getting ideas down (or electronic genres where these tend to go unnoticed) its ideal !
