Default BFD2 Lite

Just having a look at this now, came as part of the PC. The thing is, i'm trying to "audition" each of the drums in the little kit that's on screen but when i click on them i just get a big spacious like bang sound, like someone banging a big metal door or something. Is there some settings i have to sort? Also, how do i use my DTXplorer to trigger the drum sounds through midi? I haven't a clue so any help would be great!

Really need some help here if anyone can help me, i have the drum software working and i have my dtxplorer hooked up through midi but 3 of my drum pads seem to be assigned to the hi hat on the software and i can't figure out how to change it. Any ideas?

Sneaky feckers, they don't let you change the key mapping on the lite version Guess i'll be buying it then, the drums samples sound great!

Dave is a BFD fan and he has a few others.

I use Superior Drummer 2.0, which I like but once you find one you like the sound of, then go for it.

I would advise you compare BFD2 with Superior 2.0 before buying. I personally find I prefer Superior 2, but it's a good idea to try both yourself to see which you prefer before making a purchase.

I haven't heard that one Dave, but i was very very impressed with bfd2, the sound is far superior to the sounds i get from my dtxplorer module. DV have offered me BFD2 Full version for 165 as a special price for a synergy user, but i'll try that one too before deciding.

Cheers

I have decided to order BFD2 Eco, the watered down version with the option to upgrade later on. Should be here on Wednesday. I've been really impressed with even the very limited Drum samples within Cubase so i'm hoping this software will give me a few more options. The DTXplorer is a great little kit but as i say the drum sounds you get with these types of software are definitely far superior to the inbuilt sounds on the kit. I'm glad i have it though, works great with the software through midi.
