That's certainly true

I would see another hardware addition or emphasis on flogging existing hardware.
Maschine has been a success from what I can make out.
Software is peaking - you can tell, as I said, by the way they are only really improving the control of things and not a lot else.

I think some of the Kore packs are over-priced - unless you have a coupon. I think the individual products are over-priced too (there's no debate on that - they are). Their bundles are ok.

I find it odd that they are discontinuing Massive...

Their more emulative plugs didn't do so well (FM7/8 being the obvious exception). But Massive & Absynth seem to have strong user bases..

Oh well, lets see what else they have next then !

Discontinuing? I'd say they're upgrading them.

Reaktor 6 please. multicore support. better audio table control. better engine. more low level support. a big fookin manual would be of some help rather than having to fish in the dark and hope for the best some times

No need for pictures. I can virtually see them through that detailed description.

Maaaaan, I haven't even got the hang of Massive yet, and haven't even looked at Reaktor for more than a quick 'oh my god, what is this?!?!? and what does it do?!?!?! aaaahhhhh' (which I'm given is a pretty standard first reaction to that perticular program).

I thought they may be going in a controller (Kontroller?) direction, especially as Kore 2 is nudging on a bit and Maschine seems to be holding up ok.

Default Komplete 6 is £399 inc.vat

Komplete 6 will ship September, will cost around £399 inc.vat and includes Kontakt 4, Absynth 5, Guitar Rig Pro, Reaktor 5, Massive, FM8 and Battery 3.

The upgrade to Komplete 6 is from any version of Komplete and will cost around £120 inc.vat

No Reaktor 6 then....

Would anyone buy Kontakt 4 for £299 when Komplete 6 is £399?

Looks like Guitar Rig software has been discontinued. Now only available with the hardware Guitar Rig Pro and in Komplete 6.

Default Komplete 6

I can't quite work out why this is being dubbed 'Komplete 6'.

Only three product updates, and merely additional library/FX for the most part?

Kontakt 3.5 has just seen 64 Bit support added, and gets the .5 moniker. They add some Mellotron sounds and this become Kontakt 4?

Hmmm

I thought there was going to be Reaktor 6. That said, it's a lot of software (for £400) for someone who has n't got any NI in the cupboard...

Oh don't get me wrong - fantastic products and that's brilliant value, if only for Kontakt and it's great library alone.

I just find it a tad mystifying, 'tis all.

Annoyingly, I was just about to purchase GForce M-Tron Pro, but should I instead plump for the Komplete upgrade (only purchased Komplete 5 about two months ago), and use the Mellotron samples that come with?

Any more details on the upgrades/improvements?

This is so hot, it's not even announced over at NI yet !
