Default Recording audio streams from mac??

Can anyone advise what program is best for recording audio that is coming out of the mac say from a web page, and then converted to a wav or similar file. I used record anything on my pc for this very purpose, but it isnt compatible with macs..apparantly.

Jack OS X springs to mind, is this helpful, you could always come out and go back in?

i think it may also be possible with soundflower

Cheers mate...found this program called wiretrap, does just the job..gotta pay for it after 30 days tho!
