Question m4a question?

what are the benefits to bouncing down in this format, im seeing more and more people using it, i know what it is just not really sure why peeps would prefer it over 320 mp3 or wav/aiff?

I have wondered the same thing. Logic seems to convert audio better to m4a than mp3.
