Default Fretorsion California Sun

And yet another free guitar amp simulator...California Sun!

- Guitar Combo Amp design
- 2 channels, Clean and Dirty
- Level, Drive, Low and High controls
- Built-in Distortion, Amp and Cabinet Simulation
- Incredible Low-ends
- Low CPU usage (less than 2% on P4 2.4GHz)
- Easy to use

Why don't we get AU versions of all these free VST????? Bloody annoying that!

Default DrumCore Free

...the demo that is alot MORE than just a demo.

This is NOT just a demo that times-out, you can really start writing music with DrumCore FREE starting NOW! We think you will love it so much you'll crave all the content found in the real DrumCore.

This is a fully working version of the DrumCore 3 AU/VSTi/RTAS plug-in. The way it differs from full DrumCore is:

DRUMKITS
FREE only includes two (2) kits vs. DrumCore which has over 100. Kits include a great rock/pop kit and a subwoofer-thumpin' hip-hop kit and a sprinkling of Latin Percussion sounds.

GROOVES
FREE only includes the Basic Beats "Rock Pop 101" GrooveSet (as both audio loops and MIDI) plus the Urban GT "HipHop Classics (1-4)" and Song Beats GrooveSets (as MIDI files) vs. the thousands of grooves in standard DrumCore.

DRUMCORE TOOLKIT
DrumCore includes the standalone application "DrumCore Toolkit" which let users add their own audio loops and drum samples to DrumCore. FREE only includes the DrumCore plug-in.

NOTE: DrumCore FREE is around a 1.2 GB download.

Pitch bend is on the to do list as well, which would be awesome if BertAnt can do it.
Now updated to support pitch bend and velocity, tho' I believe pitch bend is a tad sensitive http://www.box.net/shared/4ujloadaff

Another excellent freebie, tho' be warned, it's beta atm and not without bugs, not least the presets not sounding for some people and problems in FLS latest beta.

The not sounding bug is seemingly caused by there being too many folders, so simply copy/move the .dll to your vst folder, then move the contents of the unpacked folder to your C: drive. Note, there are discrepancies between the volume on some presets.

The problem with FLS latest beta is more problematic, at least here, as it locks up badly when closing, needing the three fingered salute to do so. For all that, it's well worth getting imo and will be a fantastic freebie once the bugs are fixed.

Yeah, I use the Wavosaur Audio Editor and its pretty awesome. I sometimes fall back on it for sample manipulation if Cubase pisses me off enough and I just need to do something simple. And it loads VST's, which is great.

SPHELAN:
DrumCore3 is on the cover of Septs' Computer Music. I don't know if it is any different from the download?

Unlike many magazine "freebies" this one sets up pretty painfree.

Just had an email from Sony.

Sound forge has reached ver' 10 so that means there is another 30day trial to be had!

I assume they are as generous as in the past and give you the full works but I don't want to dld it to find out until I need it!

Green Machine 11 amp sim is now freeware, as are all Wurr audio plugins http://www.greenmachine.sealandweb.d.../Download.html

It might be a bit dated as a amp sin now, but it's still pretty good and well worth the download imo.
