Here is a sit I have used. DontCrac[k] - Audio Software instant Downloads at Dontcrack
It has loads of free VST, RTAS etc. plug-ins, all legal. Some of the links don't work, but you should be able to find some good stuff on there. |

Here's a few of the better free (and more importantly legal) vst sites.
http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-series.php http://www.voxengo.com/downloads/ http://www.digitalfishphones.com/ Maybe other people can add sites they've found useful free plugins! |

I smell a thread merge, mods! Perhaps combining the free plug-in threads and then stickying would be a good idea...?
I'll throw in High-end plug-ins for Pro Tools for Pro Tools users - his demos are virtually fully functional and not crippled in any way, and the full versions are super cheap anyway. |

Sometimes, if I'm looking to refine my search for a vst/plugin that does a particular job, I drill down to the KVR Audio Plug-in Database and specify what type of effects/instruments/etc. I'm looking for, what formats I want them in, and what operating system(s) I would like them for; as well as choosing to list free, commercial or unreleased plugins. You'll find pretty much everything you want there.
My personal favourite freebies are: dBlue Glitch Daft Funk (it appears this one is currently unavailable, but a search engine might throw up some good results; but if you really can't find it, and you want a copy, just post me a message - it's completely freeware) Destroy FX Buffer Override Those plugs might be known in some circles as FSU (F***-S***-Up) effects. Enjoy! ![]() ______________________________

Another superb free plugin is Delay Llama...It's a really great vowel synth with an awesome animated GUI. Plus it's low latency. And if you do wish to show your gratitude, they recommend you donate to The International Campaign for Tibet, which you can reach from the site.
Get it here! ______________________________

Here's a free gate plug-in from BIAS, for a limited time (ie, if you're reading this and I posted this two years ago, you might be out of luck!)
![]() Sign up today to receive a free GateEx! I've had the master perfection suite for a while, and I'm really starting to dig it now - gotta spend more time with it, mind, but it's looking like a bit of a sleeper. Bias Master Perfection Suite at DV247.COM |

I haven't tried any BIAS plugs before, so maybe this is a good opportunity. I'll let you know what I think. ______________________________
