This quote from thier site made me laugh:

Quote:
Dial in some nonlinear modulation. It’ll go from “I can’t hear that you’ve done anything, but I like it” all the way up to “Why did you run my mix through a guitar amp?”

i know this will be frowned upon by other members but iv just downloaded all the plugs, the only limit to the demo is a splash screen to the website on startup, i will purchase the ones i use the most after a good evaluation period on a few projects. i will definitely be buying rocket though its really a warm sound

Is that the only catch Paul?

There's no audio drop outs, it doesn't time out after 15 mins etc ?

If so, I might d/l them myself for a whirl !

as far as i can tell, some one said its only live for 30 days but i don't even think that, the site has no mention of this other than simply the splash screen

There's absolutely nothing to be frowned upon for downloading evals and taking them for a really good spin before deciding wether or not to purchase them

Yes exactly. You are doing nothing wrong sureno. I actually think the dev would be very happy for you to download not just one but all of them as you have done. You are evaluating the plugs...nothing wrong with that.

The rocket looks fantastic I really should demo it! I love seeing devs try and be creative with designs. Stunning stuff.

It reminds me of Sonars VC 64...the rocket is much cheaper to get hold of though

Do you use character compressor plugs and if so...how does this compare? I think stillwell describe it as a "character audio compressor".

well im not that techy when it comes to knowing what each comp does, all i know is i like the sound rocket is giving me, i use compression quite heavily and this one just seems to give a sound im loving, other compressors i rely heavily upon are logics and crunchessor from voxengo, rocket MIGHT be a replacement for them but if not definitely an addition. it definitely adds something but i couldn't really compare it to anything as iv limited experience in other compressors other than the 2 i mention to warrant a good comparison.

Having said all of this the "all" button on the ratio is fat and parallel compression button is great, however i know logic has this too in its hidden section, still yet to discover how the side chain button works though?

Great feedback thanks I guess I need to download it and try the demo. It seems like a very high quality plug. Sidechaining...if the demo has a help file or similar it should have some kind of instruction or guide for that most likely.

Thanks for the additional feedback. It does make a buying decision easier when info on an extended demo period like yours is fed back to the forum.

Stillwells quality to price ratio is totally out of balance, rather like Voxengo and Audio Damage.
