Kind of makes me want to buy another one while they still exist as a going concern.

Seriously though, I'm sure they're not going anywhere (brand value = way too high!) but there could be big changes in the future there...

wow if you read how he treats the stores that stock there equipment im amazed anyone would want to stock there gear.maybe going to the wall would wake up the egomaniac that runs it ..

Aforementioned brand value and pretty good margins (if you can meet Gibson's ridiculous order minimums!) are the reason, methinks.
