Default Ableton Live Beer: Whatever next?

Ableton Live beer: the ultimate live performance tool?

Here at DV, we are always interested in how our suppliers create brand awareness. We think the M-Audio Public Enemy Remix contest, for example, will help M-Audio raise brand awareness.

Most companies are happy to promote their products with T-shirts, bags and USB memory sticks, but Ableton's latest marketing ruse is to release a dedicated Pilsner beer!

'Lively Up Yourself' is a cheeky little number that was cooked-up by Focusrite, Ableton's UK distributors. As the label suggests, it tastes 'well-rounded and clean', and at 5.0% ABV, it's as much of an aid to live performance as the software that inspired its brewing.

Here at DV, we're happy to provide free beer (for those over 18) at events such as today's Moog Fest at DV Clapham, maybe we should organise an Ableton tour visiting all DV store locations over the summer and sample the latest Ableton product!

You see, now that's exactly what sort of ideas you come up with when you start relying on toxins to get creative!

Why do they need to start giving out their own beer to promote it.

They should just send every dj in the world a cd demo. I love it, just for digitising old vinyl. Combine it with something like RX Izotpe and some gentle eq and compressiom, and you are well on the way to some pretty good rips !

Default Gottle of gear

Saxman, I hope that tune was made using Live.

I'd be disappointed if it wasn't.

Also, whoever did make it forgot to mention that a bottle opener was used in its production.

Ableton beer??? Their Marketing creativity almost matches the applications creative offerings.

Surely the beer should have been called "sampler"
